What to wear and bring

Some Recommendations: Comfortable Shoes -For the Makapu'u Lighthouse hike, wear sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers with good grip. The trail is mostly paved but can be uneven in places. Swimwear -Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit if you plan to enjoy a swim at the beach afterward. Towel -A beach towel or quick-dry towel to dry off after your swim or to lay down on the sand while you relax. Sunscreen -Protect your skin with reef-safe sunscreen (Oahu’s beaches and waters are sensitive to chemicals found in regular sunscreens). Hat and Sunglasses -A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses to shield yourself from the sun while out and about.
