What's Included

A 3-hour walking tour may sound daunting but in reality, we don't walk the entire time. There are 4-5 stops along the tour, spending 20-30 minutes at each. Each stop will be shaded and comfortable with picnic tables or grass to sit on. Feel free to bring foldable chairs to walk with.

Starting at Kaimana Beach, this tour will end fronting the Honolulu Zoo.

From the days of "ancient Hawaiʻi", which we acknowledge King Kamehameha I as its bookend, to the establishment of the Hawaiian Kingdom to its illegal overthrow and beyond, guests will hear stories and information about Hawaiʻi's history that has been said to be, "not taught in schools." In this tour, pictures and media will be distributed and used to help guests see a contrast between "Now and Then" and create an opportunity to "step into history." By the end of this tour, the goal is each guest will be much more knowledgeable of Hawaiʻi, our history, our successes and our challenges. The hope is that when guests return home, these are the stories that are shared with family and friends.
