Kōloa Plantation Days
Kauai
July 20, 12:00am – July 27, 2026, 5:00pm
Overview
Kōloa Plantation Days is a multi-day festival held each July on Kauaʻi’s south shore in the towns of Kōloa and Poʻipū. The event commemorates the founding of Hawaiʻi’s first successful sugar plantation in Kōloa in 1835 and celebrates the island’s plantation-era history and multicultural communities.
During the festival, dozens of events take place across Kōloa and Poʻipū. These include the Historic Kōloa Plantation Days Parade, the Annual Park Celebration at Anne Knudsen Ballpark with live music, food vendors, and craft booths, and the Family Fun Run/Walk in Poʻipū. The schedule also typically features guided historic walking tours of Old Kōloa Town, plantation-style cooking demonstrations, cultural performances and live Hawaiian music, arts and craft fairs, sports tournaments, and family activities held at parks and community venues throughout the area.
The festival brings together residents and visitors to learn about Kauaʻi’s plantation heritage while enjoying music, food, cultural demonstrations, and community celebrations across the island’s south shore.
