First Cabin International Capsule Hotel

Hawaiʻi’s first capsule hotel is located in the heart of Waikīkī with plenty of space to work, do laundry and relax and walking distance to the beach and tons of restaurants, shops and bars.

The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, formerly Romer Waikiki at the Ambassador, was acquired by Tapestry Collection by Hilton on May 28, 2025. This retro-chic Waikīkī hotel has views of the ocean, mountains and Lēʻahi (Diamond Head) and a sweet neighborhood restaurant called Favorite Son.

Romer House Waikīkī brings home the neighborhood clubhouse experience with overnight stays that come with savings on dining and drinks throughout your stay, cruiser bikes, beach gear, discounted cabanas, and complimentary programming ranging from floating sound baths to sunset hula classes — plus Romer’s exclusive Key to the Neighborhood perks — giving guests easy access to a slice of island living. Just a short stroll off lively Kūhiō Avenue and steps from world-famous Waikīkī Beach and the International Market Place. Check out 855-ALOHA, which serves riffs on iconic local dishes and hit up The Lei Stand Waikīkī for after dinner cocktails.

The new ocean front Hale No’eau room, located in the resort’s Ewa Tower on the 24th floor, features floor-to-ceiling artwork from a selection of local muralists from POW!WOW! Worldwide. In conjunction with the Hyatt's new exhibit In The Southern Sun on the resort's ground level, the intention of creating rooms featuring these artists is to perpetuate Hawaiian culture and storytelling, as well as uplifting local partners.

Ka La‘i Waikīkī Beach, part of LXR Hotels and Resorts, launched a multimillion-dollar redesign this past summer in celebration of its 15th anniversary. The renovation will refresh the lobby, pool deck, guest rooms, restaurants and spa with “a blend of modern elegance and Hawaiian heritage.” The hotel remains fully open during the phased transformation, allowing guests to enjoy amenities and ocean views throughout.

Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort and Spa, has launched a property renewal and transformation honoring its legacy as the “First Lady of Waikīkī.” The renovation will be completed in phases through 2026, and will include the resort’s 791 guest rooms and suites across three distinct wings, its historic lobby and a new oceanfront event space. It is slated for completion ahead of the resort’s 125th anniversary on March 11, 2026. Moana Surfrider.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach has completed its multiphase, multimillion-dollar renewal, refreshing its ‘Ewa Tower guest rooms, front desk and both infinity pools, and debuting The Ritz-Carlton Suite Collection featuring three signature suites. The property also introduced Solera, a new dining concept offering Hawai‘i regional cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. Furthering its commitment to celebrating O‘ahu, the hotel now offers O‘ahu Reimagined: A Journey Through Hawaiian Heritage, a cultural program that includes a hibiscus tea welcome experience by local tea educator Kathy YL Chan and a nightly “My Story of O‘ahu” sunset chant led by Hawaiian language students.

The Royal Hawaiian Resort has debuted a new Historic Gallery displaying the hotel’s storied past as the Pink Palace of the Pacific and taking guests on a journey through time celebrating the hotel's long history, from its grand opening in 1927 to its legacy of Hawai‘i hospitality. The gallery welcomes guests to immerse in the stories, photos and artifacts that have defined The Royal Hawaiian for nearly a century.
