Līhu'e Airport (LIH) is the main airport on Kaua'i. For travelers flying internationally, you will connect through Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu on O'ahu before continuing to Kaua'i. LIH primarily serves interisland travel and some domestic flights to the continental U.S.

LIH provides interisland flights to the following neighbor island airports:

There are no direct flights from Kauaʻi to Hilo, Lānaʻi or Molokaʻi. You must connect through Oʻahu to reach those islands.

Līhuʻe Airport opened in 1950. Prior to that, flights came through Port Allen Airport on the West Side. The new location, 1.5 miles east of Līhuʻe, was chosen for being the most central point on Kauaʻi and nearest to Oʻahu.
